This is a very good quality and usable antique chest of drawers. The chest of drawers is made in solid mahogany and dates to the reign of George III around 1800. It is beautifully made. The drawers are beaded. It stands on simple bracket feet. The style, typical of Georgian furniture, is unfussy and very elegant in its simplicity. There is real quality in this chest. The drawers are lined in oak. Always a good sign. The mahogany is choice with a lot of attractive grain in the wood. The top and drawer fronts are excellent. Just look at those handles. Have you ever seen such good ormolu handles on a chest of drawers? The drawers run well. This chest is a good smaller size chest and is ready to go in to your bedroom. The chest is in good antique condition. The mahogany is rich and well polished. No sign of worm. Minor damage above top lock – see photo. One handle is a replacement. The chest of drawers is 43.5 inches wide by 37 inches high and 22 inches deep. You are welcome to collect any piece of furniture yourself or use any courier you wish. It is easy to get a quote.
