Offered for sale is this extremely Good Quality Antique Victorian Rosewood Inlaid Occasional / Centre Table Dating from ca. 1890 this Spectacular Table has an octagonal shaped top with alternate serpentine and concave shaped sides. It has a striking inlay design to the centre and triple box wood string inlay that follows the outer edges of the table top. There is a useful and decorative lower shaped tier, also with a central inlaid design and the same complimentary tipple box would string inlay. The frieze is also decorated with string inlay and the corner brackets between the legs and frieze are decorated with an inlaid shell design. This truly stunning piece stands on elegant shaped legs that terminate with a brass and ceramic castor. This table has been made using quality rich rosewood which has a wonderful depth of colour and striking, attractive grain. Decorated with the inlay and box wood stringing, this table is nothing less than stunning. Overall this table is in very good condition, all joints are good, the table is solid with no shakes or wobbles. Due to its age there will be slight signs of wear and use, but nothing that compromises it’s integrity or good looks. The photos are a true representation of what you are purchasing.
